A good way to spend a Tuesday

I was off of work today and decided to go kayaking by myself. During the week is a great time to go down the river, I only saw a few boats.
I am really beginning to get addicted to this view. I absolutely love this river, it has so much to offer.
I remembered my sunscreen this time, so maybe I won't look like a lobster like the last time Monica, Janice and I went! There were not many manatee today, I only saw three. They were instantly drawn to the boat though and floated along side for awhile. Monica's grandmother from L.A. (that's lower Alabama) said manatee are called sea cows because their breath smelled like a cow's breath. I think she is right! They were so close to the boat, nudging it once, that when they surfaced for air, I actually could smell their breath. It did smell like a cow's. I think maybe because they both eat grass?.....and I thought they were called sea cows because they were big and slow like a cow. I saw several gators and lots of turtles.

This little one let me get close.

Coming up for a breath!

This guy sure was nosey.
This is the one that nudged the boat.
Here Monica's tree that she likes so much. It looks like a bird, see it.
